Abstract

The limited performance of the SR-30 micro-turbojet engine demands validated simulation models to optimize its design. This study analyzed the aerodynamic behavior and structural integrity of the engine through FSI numerical analysis, evaluating free-flow velocities from 5 to 25 m/s with three RANS turbulence models. CFD results confirmed that drag force increases with velocity, and a 5 mm mesh refinement ensured convergent values. The Spalart-Allmaras model, applied to the FSI analysis of the diffuser, quantified maximum stress and displacement correlated with pressure loading. This work establishes a validated numerical framework and the structural operational limits of the diffuser.
