Abstract

This work presents the geometric modeling and CFD analysis of a small-scale unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) designed for underwater inspection. The CAD model was integrated into a fluid domain to evaluate pressure, velocity, and hydrodynamic forces under different angles of attack and velocities. Using a turbulence model for incompressible flows, drag and lift coefficients were estimated. Numerical results were validated through parametric simulations, analyzing the geometric impact of the fuselage and propeller fairing. The findings establish design criteria to optimize energy efficiency, directional stability, and maneuverability in shallow marine environments.
