Ingenierías is a biannual journal published in January and July each year by the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (Nuevo León State University, UANL), through its de la Facultad de Ingeniería Mecánica y Eléctrica (School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, FIME). This issue features articles on scientific and technological dissemination, including an accessible approach to learning automatic control; an experimental and exploratory protocol for obtaining biodiesel from recycled edible vegetable oil; the design of thermomechanical processing and cooling routes for developing high-strength steels, taking chemical composition into account; SiO₂-TiO₂ coatings applied using the sol-gel technique to improve the mechanical and electrochemical behavior of the Al 6061-T6 alloy; and the viscoelastic response of cubic auxetic structures manufactured using additive manufacturing via 3D printing, with polylactic acid (PLA) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) as base materials.
